What happens when you get hungry in Minecraft? What happens when you use your phone for 9 hours? What happens when you run around for 2 hours?

Energy is very important to us. We need energy for our phones, to run and many more activities. When we run out of energy, we have to eat or we have to charge our devices with electricity. Without energy, living things cannot survive. However, today we will be discussing a major issue that the whole world is facing; energy shortage.
While we have a lot of food (chemical energy), we are severely lacking energy in the form of electricity or fuel. Fuel allows our planes and cars to move but will emit greenhouse gases that cause the Earth to get warmer and warmer. Poor polar bears will be dying because their homes are melting!

What about electricity? As more and more of us are using electronic devices, we will need more electricity. Using nuclear energy to produce electricity is the most effective method we have right now. Nuclear energy is able to produce a lot of electricity. However, an accident at the nuclear plants will kill thousands of people and the radiation might even mutate us to become weird creatures!
(You wouldn’t want this to happen to you or anyone else right?)
We need to be able to find a way of constantly getting electricity without harming Earth or killing the people. This kind of energy is known as “clean and sustainable energy”. Solar panels is one of the best ways for us to convert solar energy into electrical energy. If we can convert 1 hour of solar energy we receive from the Sun, we will be able to produce more electricity than the whole world can use in 1 year!

The following video is a breakthrough discovery that will allow us to turn any window into a solar panel! We will then have more free electricity than we can use! We will also be able to transfer electricity from one building to another without the use of any wires at all!
